Christmas is a cherished time for my family and me, filled with traditions both new and old. William and I have created special traditions of our own while blending those we grew up with from our families. For many years, one of our favorite traditions was heading out to pick the perfect tree a few days after Thanksgiving.
A couple of years ago, however, we made the switch to a faux tree. With our increasingly hectic schedules and a desire to be more environmentally conscious, it felt like the right choice. While we do miss the fresh pine scent, William always reminds me with a smile, "Just light the pine candle!" It’s a small but sweet way to keep the holiday magic alive.
