Running for 2026 NVAR Treasurer

First, thank you. Thank you for the time, energy, and heart you dedicate to our profession. I know the hours you spend volunteering—away from your families and your businesses—are significant, and I’m genuinely grateful to be in this community of leaders who care so deeply about the future of real estate.

I am deeply passionate about real estate and a strong advocate for being actively involved in our Associations. Serving on the NVAR Board of Directors for the fourth year and on the NAR Board of Directors for the third year has been an incredible honor—experiences that have continually inspired me through the dedication and excellence of so many fellow REALTORS®.

I grew up in Spain, where practicing real estate is far more complex and fragmented. Because of that, I am forever grateful for everything we have here—from our incredible Associations to our MLS systems, the ability to represent buyers, the exclusive right to represent sellers, and so much more. These tools and structures empower us as professionals and serve as a model for how real estate can and should be practiced.

These past couple of years have been especially challenging for our industry. As we navigate market shifts, regulatory changes, and evolving member and consumer expectations, I believe more than ever that we need strong, experienced leadership. A candidate with deep committee involvement, a clear understanding of how our Association functions, and a true passion for real estate will be essential in the years ahead.

I bring a unique perspective to the Board and consistently approach decisions with our members in mind—locally and nationally. I also believe that involvement reflects who we are as professionals, and I’m passionate about encouraging others to step into leadership roles. It's incredibly rewarding to learn from exceptional leaders and to help lift up the next wave of professionals shaping our industry.

I truly value the high level of professionalism we uphold in the U.S. real estate community, and it would be an honor to serve again. That said, I trust in the process and will fully support whichever candidate you feel is best prepared to lead us forward.

Passion for Real Estate
I was born and raised in Spain, where I grew up surrounded by my family’s construction and real estate business. That early exposure sparked a lifelong passion for the industry and a deep commitment to helping others through real estate.

21 Years of Experience and 17 as a Volunteer
I’ve been a full-time Realtor® in the DMV area since 2004 and have proudly served on various committees, boards, and forums since 2008. Currently, I’m in my fourth year on the NVAR Board of Directors and third year on the NAR Board. I’m incredibly grateful for the trust and support of my colleagues throughout the years—it’s been an honor to give back to an industry I deeply value and love.

      I would be honored to serve as your Treasurer for 2026. My commitment to you and our members is to approach this role with integrity, diligence, and transparency. I will do my absolute best to help us navigate any challenges ahead, while working hard to strengthen the professionalism and public perception of our industry.

      As Treasurer, I understand the responsibility of providing financial oversight, ensuring accountability, and maintaining the long-term financial health of our Association. I will carefully review every dollar spent, monitor our reserves and investments, and work collaboratively with the Budget & Finance Committee and staff to ensure that our budget aligns with our strategic goals and supports the programs that matter most to our members.

      I believe a strong, well-managed Association allows us to better serve our communities, advocate for our profession, and empower every REALTOR® to thrive. Thank you for your consideration—it would be a true privilege to serve.
